Tyler's 1st Birthday

So one year ago, our lives changed forever. Our little miracle baby was finally here. After many years and 24 hours of HARD labor, Tyler James Pinegar was born at 5:22 am on March 23rd, 2007 weighing in at 9 lbs 4 oz. Now one year later, he has grown up into a very cute, hyper toddler. Don't mind me as I reminse about this last year. When Tyler was first born I couldn't believe that he was finally here. After all our waiting, our little miracle was in our arms. He was stubborn right from the start. He didn't want to come out normally, so after a c-section, he was finally born yelling at the top of his lungs, that he was finally here. We spent 4 glorious days in the hospital where I was catered to and came home to his little nursery that had been set up and waiting for him for over 2 years. It was a long recovery, but we both made it through. I didn't know if I could handle being a mom once my mom left after helping me for a week, but we made it through.
Since he was born, Tyler has always thought he was bigger than he really is. He held up his head almost from birth. He wanted to sit up and roll over around 3 months and than once he got tired of rolling he decided to crawl. Now at a year, we are working on standing on his own and walking. He thinks he can try and climb out of his crib and walk down the stairs, instead of crawling down the stairs. But we love him anyway. :) I am just so grateful for this last year and all its ups and downs and I look forward to all the many years ahead. I love being a mom and I thank Tyler for coming to our family. We love you Boo Boo!!!

Now to the pictures. We celebrated Tyler's birthday on Saturday since his real birthday was Sunday, which was Easter. Since Tyler has special food needs, we had to make a special cake just for him that was dairy, egg and nut free. We made it into the shape of Elmo's head, since Tyler LOVES ElMo. We had all our grandparents, some aunts and uncles and cousins over for cake and ice cream. the only people missing were Taylor's sister and brother-in-law Annie and Robb since they are in China (we love you and miss you), but we were able to talk to them while we were all there thanks to modern technology. And my brother Tim and his wife Katie and my wonderful nephew Marcus were also not there, but we will see them in April. Tyler got spoiled by his family members, with clothes, toys and books. He loved every minute of it. He especially loved his cake. From the videos you will be able to tell how much he LOVED eating his cake. So enjoy the pictures and videos. I will post the rest of the pics in a slide show.

It was a fun day. We enjoyed all the family who were there and missed those who weren't. Taylor you and Kimberlie did a wonderful job on Tyler's Elmo cake! Thanks for sharing your son and his pictures with us.
