Happy Birthday Tyler

My sweet little boy is now a 3 year old. Tyler turned 3 yesterday and it was a bittersweet day. I am so happy to have a "big boy" now, but it is official he is no longer my baby. Tyler woke up yesterday so excited for his birthday. He got Edward one of Thomas the tank engine's friends and the new Thomas movie "Hero of the Rails" which he LOVES. We watched it 4 times yesterday and have watched it 3 times today. He is such a huge Thomas fan. He got a train table a couple of weeks ago, but I haven't taken a picture of it yet. So I will do that later. We are having a party for him on Saturday so I will post pictures of that later. Enjoy the assortment of pictures below.

Our Angel Baby

As most of you know, we lost our sweet little baby due to a miscarriage. I was about 9 1/2 weeks along when we lost our sweet angel. I started having complications at 6 weeks so we went in at 7 weeks for an ultrasound. We saw the baby and it's sweet heartbeat. We were ecstatic but cautious. I had complications with Tyler from about 6 weeks to 8 weeks and then everything went fine. So we were expecting it to be the same with this pregnancy. Well my complications continued until Sunday night, November 8. I started having severe cramps and pain that was worse than I had been having for the last few weeks. I went to bed and woke up the next morning in more pain. I had help with Tyler which was nice, but it soon became even too painful to even get up into a standing position. We went to the doctor and he did an ultrasound. There we saw and heard the worse words any parent will hear. "There is no heartbeat." We had lost our baby at about 8 weeks. Needless to say we were devastated. This was another miracle baby. It was conceived without any medical intervention which was a miracle to us since we struggled so much to have our sweet Tyler. After finding out the bad news, we went over to the hospital to have the D & C. We are still struggling with the Whys and how comes and we are grateful to all of our family and friends who have gone over and beyond to help us out this last week and a half. We love you all. We know we are not alone in this struggle and my heart goes out to anyone who has experiences this heartache. We know we will see and raise our sweet Angel baby again. We love you baby and please know you will always be a part of our family.

So You Think You Can Dance

About a week and a half ago, I went to the SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE performance. It was amazing just like last year. I went with my sister Alecia and some of her friends. There were 7 of us altogether. I of course was dealing with pregnancy cravings, so I ate like a horse. i had popcorn, m&m's, water, cotton candy. You get the picture :) Below are a million pictures but I wanted to show everybody why it is worth going to each season. Enjoy!
{As soon as the music came on and this popped up on the screen, I knew I was in heaven}{Alecia and I}
{Jeanine and Phillip- I love them!!!!}
{Evan- he is so dang cute}

{Our comic relief of the evening- Jeanine and Phillip. If you watched the season, you will remember the Russian folk dance that was awful. Well they made fun of it all night long. It was hilarious.}
{Jeanine and Brandon- Battlefield- one of my favorite performances}

{Group routine. I call it the table dance, but I can't remember the exact name}

{Phillip, he was more amazing in person than on tv. How he can make his body move like that I have no idea}
{the top 3 guys- Brandon, Ade, Evan}
{And the winner of Season 5 - Jeanine}

Snow, Snow, Snow

This past weekend, we had our first real snow of the season. Tyler of course was jumping with joy because he wanted to go outside. I finally got Taylor to take him out and the following pictures are how the fun unfolded. Enjoy.
{Tyler practically running down the stairs}{Tyler's snowman. Yes we know it was small, but we only got like 1 inch of snow. He was so proud of this snowman. He kept looking out the window to see if it was still there.}

Hanging with Dad

This is how Taylor and Tyler love spending time together. They jam out to daddy's phone. Do I want to know what music they listen too? No way :) and of course you can't forget the snazzy hats they are wearing. Tyler was originally wearing the orange bowl and daddy had his hat on, but then of course Tyler wanted to switch. I love these boys. They have a great time together.

Pumpkinland

A couple of weekends ago we went to a fun pumpkin patch and corn maze. Tyler of course had a blast with all of the pumpkins, the fun toys they had to play on and of course the corn maze. We let Tyler be the leader in the corn maze and we got lost. I am sure it is an easy maze, but Taylor and I are very bad at mazes so to let a 2 year old lead us turned out to be a very bad idea. We ended coming out of it and then taking the shortcut route. All in all it was a fun day.
{I love giant pumpkins!}
{ Follow the leader. Which way should we go?}

Fishing with Daddy

On Memorial Day, Taylor decided he wanted to take Tyler fishing for the first time. So we headed up Hobble Creek Canyon and took Tyler fishing. As you can tell, Tyler had a blast as did his Daddy. Taylor has been waiting a long time to have Tyler old enough to go fishing with him. They actually caught a few little fish.

Here are the 2 boys with their fishing poles.
The look on Tyler's face explains it all. Mommy was scared to have her little boy so close to the river so Tyler held onto Daddy's back pocket for safety.
